Writer's Block: The Right to Privacy

Should some parts of celebrities' lives be off-limits to the public, or is giving up privacy a fair price for being famous?

Of course some part of celebrities lives should be private. They are just people who happen to be talented (in some cases) at music, acting sports etc. If our society didn't value entertainment so much these people would just have a normal job like everybody else.

Congratulations! You won a million dollars but you have to give it all away. How will you distribute the money?

View 519 Answers

I would give most of the money to my family. 200k for my siblings college funds, 600k for a house for my parents. The remaining 200k would be spilt as follows: 100k to help the starving kids in Darfur, 50k to something build a pedestrian bridge on a street near where I live that really needs one, 25k to helping support gay marriage and gay rights, 15k to helping shelter dogs and cats not be put down, 10k to my local library for young adult and children's books.

I'm going to the beach for a week, no internet at the house but I may or may not be able to find a wi-fi spot nearby. I'll be back next Sunday.

Writer's Block: Technology’s Impact on My Family

How has technology impacted the quality time you spend with your family?

I say it has added to the quality time I spend with my family. We can now play wii sports together, watch movies on our big screen, and keep in touch when we are far apart through cell phones and facebook. Sure, there is a little less time of just us, sitting at the dinner table, playing outside, etc. but us kids are getting older and that is to be expected.

RIP John Hughes. In honor of the master of the teen movie, what is your favorite teen flick?

View 508 Answers

It's not like I've ever even watched any of John Hughes's movies... I watch very very few movies in the first place! But my favorite teen flick would have to be Mean Girls. I love that movie. I've probably watched it five times. It's very funny!
